French Customs Officials Seize Northern Ireland Registered Truck
French customs officials have seized almost four tonnes of cannabis in the back of a Northern Ireland registered lorry close to the Franco-Belgian border.
Sniffer dogs discovered the haul, estimated to be worth almost €7m on Monday, January 30th.
The drugs were hidden in the back of the refrigerated truck.
Customs officials suspicions' were aroused when the driver, who was officially en route from Spain to England failed to explain why he was travelling towards the Netherlands with the truck's refrigeration equipment switched off.
That is seriously going to annoy someone
A little obvious driving in the wrong direction without even putting the fridge on and some frozen food in the back to cover his tracks!!!!
