Not sure if this has been discussed on here BUT:

I saw these on www.emergencyequipmentshop.co.uk and wondered what people thought of the idea.

I've seen them used a couple of times, not very often though!

I've never seen this on a funeral car, and I certainly wouldn't like a flashing light on my funeral car - well unless it was blue as a joke because of being a special, but purple or as they are known 'magenta', it's a funeral, not a wedding, there's no disco afterwards, hence the light is not needed.

I brought this up on............ ahem .........'a different' site! What on earth is going on? I agree that if I was unfortunate enough to be in a funeral car, the LAST thing I would want to see on it was a flashing light! Cant see the point and personally think its in bad taste! Gimmick!!!!

In the states when a firefighter dies their coffen is carried on the hose bed of the appliace (Where we put our ladders here in the civilesed world) anyway for the funeral procession the flashing lights are covered with dark sheets. So when the lgihts are on it omitts a purple colour, so this was thought as a fire hazard and thry bought purple lightbars instead. you can see examples of the sheets covering the lights in Backdraft or 9/11

Ok agree with that but not sure Joe Public need one on every hearse!! Unless they are getting the regs changed so they can run red lights if late!!!lol
