Garda reservists to be on the beat within next two days
13/11/2006 - 07:55:28

Uniformed members of the new part-time garda reserve are reportedly set to go on the beat within the next two days.

Reports this morning say the first member of the controversial new body will be reporting for duty today at Anglesea Garda Station in Cork.

He will reportedly be limited to training and introductory duties, but uniformed reservists are expected to be on the beat within 48 hours.

They will have no powers, however, as they are still undergoing training

I was stone cold sober, waiting for my wife outside a shop she had already been in 4 times. Not unless some one spiked that cigarette I was smoking.

It amazing no matter how pretty the officers face the uniform trousers ruin the rear view, I'm making a complaint to supplies dept
