Was wondering do you joining us customs service and us border patrol into one a good idea?

Has work and detection rates improved or is it pretty much the same

Did u know there is a high mortality rate for border patrol officers on the USA/MEXICO border because of all the gangs

Not sure about amalganating U.S Customs and Border patrol. They are both very specialised in their own fileds and yes at times cases do cross jurisdiction boundaries but thats what joint task forces are for. Customs specialised knowledge of drug importation may not be so relevent if the problem is people smuggling or visa versa so in a way I've answered my own doubts and say leave them seperate and set up joint task forces as and when required.

Its part of department of homeland security to boost security on borders I think
