Our news companies have reported widely the introducing of 132 unmarked cars to the Guardia Civil's Traffic Authority (Tráfico).

We will be rotating the cars and swapping them through different parts of the country to keep them unrecognisable to drivers in certain areas.

A special focus I am told for our Tráfic officers will be seatbelt use which many people are becomming relaxed about using (you must wear a seatbelt only when on a motorway in Spain.)

Last week we had 105 road deaths.

And yet our force is reduceing the number of unmarkeds to get more visibility.



105 road deaths, bugger me sideways, that is about 1/3 of our annual total for this state.


Waht are other European areas road toll figures like, this may explain the crap driving we see from European visitors.
