UPDATED: Today 17:07 Police in Bristol are continuing to appeal for witnesses following an incident in the city yesterday evening (Sunday, December 4, 2005).
At around 7.25pm a woman was driving her Renault Kangoo car along Ashley Road, Montpelier, when she was forced to stop by an unknown man.
The man then got into the car and forced the woman to drive to Temple Meads at gun point.
When at the station, the car was stopped and the woman was released unharmed.
The offender is described as a white man in his 20s or early 30s, about 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build.
He was clean-shaven and had blonde spiky hair.
He spoke with a deep rough voice but he is not believed to have had any noticeable regional accent.
He was wearing a pale-coloured long-sleeved top and dark trousers.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a man matching this description in the Ashley Road / City Road area of Bristol at about 6.30pm yesterday (Sunday, December 4).
Officers are continuing with enquiries and forensic analysis of the Renault Kangoo car involved is being carried out.
CCTV footage from Bristol Temple Meads Station is also being examined.

Appeal for witnesses after incident at Temple Meads Railway Station (Bristol)
ADDED: 4/12/2005 22:29 Police in Bristol are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident in the city which caused Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station to be evacuated.
At around 7.25pm this evening, Sunday, December 4, 2005, a woman was driving her Renault Kangoo car along Ashley Road, Montpelier, when she was forced to stop by an unknown man.
The man then got into the car and forced the woman to drive to Temple Meads at gun point.
When at the station, the car was stopped and the woman released unharmed. Police have now seized the car for forensic examination.
Police firearms officers were then deployed to Temple Meads and the station evacuated.
The firearms crews carried out a full search of the station, platforms and trains and CCTV footage was reviewed. During this time no trains were allowed to enter or leave the station.
The station was reopened at around 9.30pm.
Extensive police enquiries are now underway to locate the offender who currently remains outstanding and is wanted on suspicion of armed robbery of the woman driver.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident on Ashley Road or may have any information to help police enquiries.
