south wales police HAVE LAUNCHED THE "Keep Well This Winter" CAMPAIGN
Keep Well This Winter is a campaign which aims to provide information and support to people aged 65 and over to enable them to keep well this winter.
The three Keep Well This Winter themes are: Keep Well, Keep Warm, Keep Safe
Keep Well
· Don't be knocked out by flu this winter - have a flu jab
· Flu vaccination is free to people aged 65 and over and people in certain 'at risk' groups
· Nourishing food will help you weather the winter
· The right type of exercise will help you stay healthy
Keep Warm
· There are simple ways to keep your home warm - find out how
· Insulation will keep the draughts away
· Saving energy saves money
· Grants can help make your home warmer
Keep Safe
· How to avoid 'slips and trips'
· Simple things can make your home safer
· Make light work of housework
· Look out for others when the weather turns rough
Keep Well, Keep Warm, Keep Safe!
The Assembly Government's key partners in the campaign include Age Concern Cymru, Care & Repair Cymru, Care Forum Wales, Foods Standards Agency Wales Energy Saving Trust, NHS Direct Wales Citizen's Advice Bureaux, national Energy Action, the National Public Health Service, Royal Institute for the Blind, and then Wales Youth Agency.
