Hi all

I'm gonna pleed for some legal advice please

Its to do with IT. I'm a member on a forum which is been hacked. The forum has been hit 3 times in 6 months. They know the guy that is doing it and hes totaly destroying the site. They know its him as he is boasting about it all over other forums, and is hacking into the server to do the destruction.

I just need to know if there is any law that would protect the site and possibly bring a prosecution against him. He lives in this country and dont know if there is any intertnational laws that would apply either

Who owns the server? Can't the owner beef up security?

Not sure if the Computer Misuse Act 1991 would cover this?

section 2 may cover it:
Section 2 - Unauthorised access with intent to commit or facilitate commission of further offences

The server is privately owned and the space is rented off them

I've passed the info onto them and there gonna look into it
