As i've long said before, PCSO's are the end of the police force and now it's starting to happen,


Following the announcement from Durham Constabulary regarding the loss of up to 300 police officer jobs in less than three years to offset a projected £10 million budget shortfall, Jan Berry, Chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales said:

“The Chief Constable of Durham is not alone in taking this course of action. A number of his colleagues throughout England and Wales are looking to cut the number of police officers, replacing them in some cases with Police Community Support Officers.

At a time when the demands on and dangers faced by police are increasing at an alarming rate, it is astonishing that our leaders are removing feet from the street. This can only have a negative impact for police officers and the communities they serve
