A man has been arrested after a five-hour standoff in a part of Lincolnshire on Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to a house in Wragby because of fears over the safety of someone inside.

But as they searched the house, police were confronted by a man who they believed had access to weapons and a standoff ensued.

Officers negotiated with the man for several hours, eventually persuading him to give himself up peacefully.

The man was then arrested and is due to be questioned on Sunday.
