A man has died after the car he was travelling in was involved in a collision with a police vehicle.
The incident happened shortly before 1000 BST on the Hightown Road near Glengormley in County Antrim.
It is understood police were following the car before the accident and the Police Ombudsman is investigating it.
A number of other people, including police officers, were taken to hospital. It is not yet known how serious their injuries are.
A spokesman for the Police Ombudsman said: "Our investigators are at the scene, and forensic scientists and scenes of crime officers are being tasked to attend.
"A family liaison officer will be appointed to support the man's family.
Never a nice thing to happen, condolences to the guys family, best wishes to the officers- hope they make a full recovery.
