Here is your chance to have your say about the policies of this forum!

We have set moderation policies/guidelines/rules, all of which are available to members to view in our "forum information" section.

What I want to know is, do you think they are too strict/leniant/just right? If you think the policies could be changed to make the forum better, HOW?

Also, your views on the quality of moderation please. I believe myself, sarge and orinoco do a good job, but I'm biased. What are your opinions? Do you often see content which you think is offensive, and should be removed? Do you often come face to face with SPAM on WWP, which has been there for hours left un-touched?

Here's your chance to have your say about how the forum is moderated. If this topic goes down without any replies then that's fine, I'll assume everything's OK.

Some people may wish to remain anonymous. If you want to do this then you can login and post using the account details below:

i think that the mods/admin are doing a good job and if they miss a bit of spam here and there, it isn't the end of the world and new members (hopefully) wouldn't get put off
also, i do occasionally see minor swear words, but this board is mainly for the older section and there are only a few younger members on the board
your anonymously, anonymous

No Complaints from this side of the world. Love the forum the way it is. I think a couple of international moderators would be a good idea. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Nah just kidding.

Well we've got 1 "international" moderator, so to speak ipf/bigsmily.gif I'd like to think we're quite diverse as well. An SC, DS and MoP

mistake corrected

I'm not a PC I'm a DS.

i cant see any problems and things are working well as they are. spam happens and the mods do a good job of removing it once it has been reported

No problems from this little black duck. Things are just fine the way they are. You guys all do a great job keeping this site clean, fun and going ipf/notworthy.gif

All seems well from my observations. Ok, we get hit by spam, but in general it's gone within 24 hours. Also, I think any swearing on the board is used in context, so isn't a problem.

I saw a topic posted by Swat2050 about half an hour ago. I refreshed 5 mins later as i was going to report, but the topic was not found. I click on to the user's profile and its banned. VERY GOOD!

In my opinion I think that all new persons to the forum should have to complete the personal particulars section prior to being able to post anything else, including the Introductions Post. I think if there were certain areas in the personal profile section that were manditory ( failing to complete the section prevents access to forum ) then potential spammers may think twice about wasting their time hitting the site. It may sound harsh, but the way I see it, if you cant even be bothered listing your hobbies, likes and dislikes, etc then why should you be able to submit posts. As it stands now, anyone can just stumble upon the site and then start posting drivel. I think that it should go something like this:

Step 1. Find the amazing site WWP.

Step 2. Register and complete specific manditory fields.

ACCESS PERMITTED TO POST ON INTRODUCTIONS AREA ONLY.

Step 3. Post a detailed introduction.

ACCESS PERMITTED TO POST ON OTHER AREAS OF FORUM.

Step 4. Start Posting.

As I said, this is just my opinion. I dont want to prevent legitimate Forum users from joining our ranks, I just see this as a means of weeding out TROLLS who only come on here to spread jibberish and drivel.
