A mother reported to have left her two children at home while she went on a Caribbean holiday has been arrested.
The woman voluntarily went to a police station on her return at the weekend, and was arrested on suspicion of neglect, police said. She was released on bail.
She is alleged to have left her daughter aged seven and son aged 11 at Shortstown, Bedfordshire, while she went on a week-long break with her husband.
Social services were called when neighbours realised the children had been fending for themselves for several days. It is believed relatives are now caring for them.

It's a shame as there are SO many people out there desperate for kids, who wouldmake GREAT parens, but these MUPPETS abuse them.
