Well after a three and a half year abscense from the Army I have rejoined the Army Reserve again. I have Corps Transferred from Artillery to Transport and must say that I am having an absolute ball. Forgot just how much I enjoyed the Army especially when it is only Part Time!!

Is there not a clash between army and police work?

I always liked the look of the RMP's (Don't like being shouted at though)

I was in the FCÁ or Army Resver as it is now for 3 years as an infantry man, loved it. Conflict of intrest means I can no longer be in it.

OBP mate no clash at all. I have to parade on Tuesday nights and one weekend a month. The Police are happy to roster around that. I also get 32 days military leave a year to go and do the two week exercises or courses etc. If the military called me up to be deployed overseas the police have the final right to prevent me from going but they tend not to.

Tax-free pay is also a huge bonus. Must say I am really enjoying it at the moment and am glad I have got back into it again!!!
