Nice Motor Guv'nor

Does anyone know of a Force actually using these machines?

NK05 KRF is a Bombardier Outlander Max quad bike developed for police use by Quad Tech. Specialist equipment may be carried on both the front or rear rack of the bike. Blue and white lights are fitted to the front. A telescopic pole has a blue light on the top too.

If so what for and where?

Now, that IS something that I would like to drive. Wonder if the front headlights have wig-wag

I expect its the beach forces and the like which use these more than inner forces such as CoL ... although maybe not as silly as it sounds - they only cover a mile so that would be a nifty way of getting around

Be handy for parks police too

Now that you've mentioned it Sarge, we have the road legal Honda 750 version, it's not quite ours yet. The councils workshops bought it 3 years ago (got 156 miles on the clock) and retro fitted it with a water tank and spray nozzle so that highways could ride along the pavement to spray weed killer. Joe public didn't like quad bikes coming at them or spraying their shoes so the idea was mothballed and the bike hidden at the back of the sheds until I found it

Hopefully soon I shall be racing across the commons and parks with it Opps I meant patrolling with it
