A serving police officer has been arrested in connection with allegations of fraud in a £22,000 radio station competition, it has been confirmed.
The constable is one of four people held in connection with a continuing fraud investigation over a Viking FM Mystery Voices competition.
Two members of North Yorkshire Police support staff were also arrested and all four were later bailed.
None have been suspended, a police spokesman confirmed.
Mike Bawden, the radio station's managing director, said: "Viking FM understands that a number of arrests have been made following an investigation into matters surrounding our Mystery Voices competition earlier this year.
"This investigation has the full support of everyone at the station and we will continue to help in any way we can until a conclusion is reached."
In the Mystery Voices competition, four celebrities were recorded saying "Viking FM" and listeners had to guess who they were. The prize fund increased by £50 each time someone made an incorrect guess.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "We can confirm that four people were arrested in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation.
"One of them is a serving Pc with North Yorkshire Police and two are members of North Yorkshire Police support staff. All four are still on bail pending further enquiries."
