We've got them in Queensland as well. Used quite regularly in Brisbane and have all the gear and pretty good bikes. I am trained (yes there is a 2 day course and what a hoot!) in riding bikes but don't do it much now. I am all for it as the community get to see you more and also it is easier to get in and around car parks etc.

Our cycle fleet is the grand total of erm mmmmmmm on yeah one unsure.gif It's due to expand but until then the officer using it is restricted to our major park where our station is.

We have cycle responder units in some areas of SJA

We now have four officers cycle trained and often do joint patrols with SNT teams.
