Four Devon police officers are likely to face disciplinary proceedings after an altercation outside a bar.

The off-duty Newton Abbot officers were involved in a confrontation with door staff at a Torquay wine bar that was filmed on CCTV on 13 December.

Police were called to intervene and the situation was diffused.

Supt Carl Langley said two of the officers had been suspended and two redeployed, and that all four were likely to face a disciplinary inquiry.
