Hey all,
I should FINALLY be hearing from the BTP soon about being a Special. Now, not wanting to jump the gun too much, if I get turned down, is it 6 months from the date of my application, or 6 months from my date of rejection before I can reapply?
nothing like thinking positive......
I believe it's 6 months from rejection.

I know, but I'm a pessimist at heart...
Good luck mate. We all have our fingers crossed.

No...
I'm really annoyed, to say the least. Since day 1, BTP have done nothing but mess me around. What's the procedure if I terminate my application? Do I still have to wait 6 months?
Should have waited and applied to D&C

Not sure about that one, In the regulars I think you would have to wait six months if you had been to the assessment centre because you have to wait for the -*test*-('")s to change.
For specials I don't see why it should be a problem. I hope you hear from them soon. I think you have to do at least 2 years before you can transfer should you wish. Wonder what the speed of applications for D&C is, probably at least half of BTP, but they are a good force really, do the free travel concessions apply to outside london?
Update update!
D&C are crying out for Specials in the Truro area (Plymouth too), so I'm chucking an app. in!
Nothing like a bit of policing on the cheap
