A couple of our stations have them and althoughthey look the dogs wotsits they are not that good of an appliance smoggs! Well that swhat iv heard anyway!!

I have driven Scania's in the past, and to be honest, i wasnt that impressed. I preffer the DAF, for long distance work, but not sure how they would fare as a fire engine

Dennis are top dog in the fire engine business. Case study my local satatino has a 99 Volvo which is a real monday morning quarter back hunk of crap, starts when it wants to, pump hardly works, problems with brakes etc. Work shops reserve applince 88 Dennis RS always starts, pump is great everything works.

I quite like the Volvo's that LFB use, they are gradually replacing them with Mercedes Benz though (and they look horrible)

I agree with Dave about the batenburg. It looks horrible on fire appliances, better on police and ambulance vehicles.

I like the battenburg on all emergency vehicles - Even St Johns LOL
