More than 300 Germans are renting themselves out as would-be pro-*test*-('")ors.

The pro-*test*-('")ors rent themselves out through the German trading website, erento.com, in the 'rent a demonstrator' section.

Demonstrators describe their personal attributes, such as being athletic (which might be handy depending on the type of demo / police stance) and appear to be mainly young. A spokesperson for the site says there has been a demand for the service.

The going rate appears to be about £100 for a 6 hour day or if you fancy being a bit more flexible: £15 per hour.

According to local German media, organisers of a recent march in Munich hired a group of pro-*test*-('")ors because its own adherents were too old to stand around in the cold for hours waving banners.
