Would you rather see someone die in a house fire, or some money spent on retained ff's having lights?
|
James no disrespect to you but you can't make a sweeping statement like that because you think retained firefighters need blue lights.
If i'm at home and I get called into work for a firearms job should I be given blue lights?

Sorry, I think what I said looking at it now was a over the top, sorry again.
Well I'm not sure if its the case there but it certainly is here with a call like a house fire going well person reported in a retained area the retained motor is mobilized as well as a full time unit so at least one will get there

Any persons reported shout here is three pumps!
Usually as I get to the station, the first pump is pulling out of the appliance bay so we are usually only a couple of minutes behind!
Its two here with one rolling without blue and an ambulnce as fb here do ambo service aswell

Thats good cos there is sometimes a delay for ambo over here, we have o2 and first aid but its a pretty basic on!
All fire fighters here are EMT trained as they rotate between the appliance and the ambulance

Is that just wholetime or retained and aux too?
Whole time man the ambos. Retained are emt trained aswell just like all dfb ff's
So have they or are they planning to put defibs on the appliances or just on the ambo's?
Theyre on appliances already have been on them for a few years now
