Would you rather see someone die in a house fire, or some money spent on retained ff's having lights?

James no disrespect to you but you can't make a sweeping statement like that because you think retained firefighters need blue lights.
If i'm at home and I get called into work for a firearms job should I be given blue lights?

Well I'm not sure if its the case there but it certainly is here with a call like a house fire going well person reported in a retained area the retained motor is mobilized as well as a full time unit so at least one will get there

Any persons reported shout here is three pumps!

Usually as I get to the station, the first pump is pulling out of the appliance bay so we are usually only a couple of minutes behind!
