I was very distressed when I saw this picture!
Isn't the role of PCSO supposed to be a visible reassurance thing "on the ground"? Isn't this missing the point a bit?
Pedal Cycles I can cope with, they're good for getting around the local area and seeing people.
I'm just glad they don't have blues.

They're preparing them to take over from Cops. Just wait until they get PPE, they're already allowed to drive marked cars in certain Forces (!)
Ive seen a couple of CSOs driving in fully marked Ford Focus RRVs in Merseyside!
They do here too - Prepare for the two tear force!!!!!!
arnet they traffic PCSOs?
Don't get me started on this, i've had a nice break and my blood pressure is really low at the moment.

No silly thats what HATO's are for!!
Merseyside have TCSOs (Traffic Community Support Officers). In otherwords, they're glorified Traffic Wardens, with the added power of being able to re-direct traffic.
Yup the met have TPCSOs as well. Theyre supposed to be on public transport and things. Not on mopeds!
Those pathetic little mopeds couldn't pull the skin off a two day old custard let alone catch fleeing crooks. What is your government thinking? You would be faster on foot.

Nathan, the people riding these things have no powers to go after criminals, they aren't police officers but over paid people introduced by the government to make it look like there are more of us
Yea few people read the small print they see POLICECommunity Support Officer
And forces are giving these guys cuffs. Some already have.
Dick, thought I heard Essex CSO's are getting them, or am I confused?
BTP PCSO's have cuffs don't they????
Tell you what, use cardboard cut outs, they do they same job and I'm sure will save money
