Firemen are a strange lot. Brave, to be sure, but weirdos non the less.

Its not about firemen its about "Fire buffs" people facinated by fire trucks, fire men etc

Ahh ok. I stand by my statement though. I have a few firefighters in my family and they are all a little off.

Even though I like the fire service and sometimes organise private trips to fire stations, I wouldn't call myself a 'fire buff'. It's like someone whos likes trains or planes or model cars, it's a hobby that you enjoy. I would only call someone a 'fire buff' if they camped outside a fire station waiting for appliances to go to a call, or to drive around finding fires (which is just a bit crazy). It's different if you find a fire whilst doing something else and you take a few pictures.
